Phoebe

This morning on my walk to work, in between wishing I’d made time for breakfast and thinking maybe I shouldn’t have stayed up until half past midnight watching The Departed (Mark Wahlberg is yum!) I noticed the sun, or Phoebe as my mum would say, had finally made an appearance.

What a delight! It’s a good job because the elastic on my Christmas hat (to be clear, a hat I received at Christmas, not a Christmas themed hat) has just about given up on life and the not quite matching clash of my purple mac and purple suede gloves was starting to bug me.

Surely now I’m not braving the arctic conditions to get to work I can start planning my spring/summer wardrobe! Any excuse…

I am thinking lots of pretty floral dresses, cream cardi’s, pearls, totally over the top corsages, bows for my hair and white gloves, with cute t-bar flats or ballerina pumps. And those white tights I’ve had my eye on. Won't I be a cutie pie?

At the end of the month the boyfriend and I will be crossing the border to visit a friend in Swansea. It’s a long journey and I am thinking of sourcing a travel Guess Who and maybe even Yahtzee to keep us entertained. Heck, the boyfriend will be thrilled.

According to my friend, my fashion plans would be wasted on Swansea (no offence Swansea, I’m taking her word for it) so it's probably best I wait until we get back to hit the shops.

There’s no harm in looking though is there? A girl can look.

ASOS seldom lets me down (bar their occasional display of disappointing customer service) but today I found very few items of interest.

Topshop fared better.

French Sole ( http://www.frenchsole.com/index.php) had so many pretty flats, I think I owe it to my feet to save up and splash the boat out.

What are your spring/summer plans?
