This morning I realised I hadn't updated you on the French Sole situation.
I met my friend (who is due to give birth in exactly 6 days!) for lunch at Bacchanalia (average, nothing special) before heading to Selfridges. Upon arrival we discovered that oh heck, they had a sale on. My French Soles were reduced by £36, a huge saving!
Their website warned me that their sizes are on the small side but I was stunned, traumatised even, that I needed a size 8, I'm normally a 6 and a half! But the purchase was made and I went home to parade around my flat in my new 'I've just been promoted and I've wanted these for months' shoes.
And then it hit. They were too small. The next day I returned to Selfridges to wish them well and say goodbye, more trauma!
I am awaiting an email from frenchsole.com to inform me that the next size is back in stock.
